At the Kappa Foundation of Gainesville-Manassas (KFGM), we believe that education is the key to unlocking potential and transforming lives. We are proud to support the academic and personal growth of local students through our annual scholarship program. Whether you are a graduating senior preparing for the next chapter or a middle-to-high schooler developing your leadership skills, we invite you to explore the opportunities below and take the next step toward your future.
We offer several awards designed to support students as they transition into higher education:
The Allia Watts Scholarship Fund honors a commitment to service by supporting college-bound seniors who have at least one parent that is a disabled veteran (10% disability rating or greater). It is a $1,000 award that recognizes students who embody honor, courage, and commitment.
The Ben Abney Scholarship is dedicated to students in the DMV area who are preparing to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). This $1,000 award recognizes students with a 3.0 GPA or higher who are eager to use their education to shape the future.
The Dr. John Morton Emerging Leader Scholarship recognizes high-achieving seniors in Northern Virginia who have demonstrated exceptional leadership during their high school careers. This $500 award supports students with at least a 3.2 GPA who are headed to an accredited four-year HBCU.
We are also dedicated to fostering the development of our younger students through programs that celebrate initiative, character, and the arts:
The Seeju M. Dupre Kappa League Youth Scholarship celebrates young men in grades 6–12 who have a deep passion for the arts. Whether you are a creator or an admirer, this $500 award supports students with a 2.5 GPA who are committed to using their talents to make a difference in their communities.
The Alexander Moore Legacy Scholarship is a $500 award for graduating Kappa League seniors. We are looking for students who have shown significant personal growth, leadership, and a commitment to becoming their best selves throughout their time in the Kappa League.
The Reginald Moore Legacy Scholarship encourages our younger Kappa Leaguers (grades 6–11) to continue their journey of excellence. This $500 award honors students who demonstrate perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to remaining active in the Kappa League.
The Kappa Foundation of Gainesville-Manassas is committed to your success. We look forward to reviewing your application and supporting your journey toward academic and personal excellence.
